     BOTI SEASON OPENER AT ORLANDO SPEED WORLD DRAGWAY
On Sunday, April 19, the Battle of the Imports returned to Orlando Speed World Dragway (Orlando, FL) Racers from all over Florida battled it out to stake their claim in the cash and contingency purse. In addition to the drag racing action, The carshow had just as much competition with car crews from all over fighting for a chance at national exposure. and if that don’t spool your turbo at least check out the The swimsuit competition !!!

this year they handed out over 100 awards including but mot limited to: Best Team Points, Best Team Represent, Overall Best of Show, Overall Best Performance Vehicle, Overall Best JDM, Best Female Vehicle, Best Full Size Truck, Best Sport Truck and Best SUV, car clubs from all over Central Florida represented to get a shot at a feature in a nationally circulated magazine.

On January 17, we attended “Champions Car Show” in Wildwood,  Florida. At first I was a bit skeptical about its location, I  mean it’s Wildwood!! But the second I got there I realized I had misjudged. I noticed the energy, and there were alot of people attending with interesting cars, and plenty of things to do..There were foot races for the kids, “db drag’s” for the big kids, as well as raffles and games (such as a chocolate milk chug contest.) in addition to the auctions and BBQ.

It was a good turn out for a great cause, we helped them raise a lot of money for the youth group of Potter’s House Church in Wildwood, Florida. It was perfect weather and Everyone had a great time…The next car show will be ( MAY 2nd from 1-7 ) ,  hope to see everyone there!  …… click here for picture’s……

     The car of the month is tanner’s EG hatch. This particular car had already been equipped with a larger B16 series engine from a 99 SI, wich was an improvement over the factory single cam. Seeking more power, Tanner decided to go a JDM B20 engine and a b16 head mated together with a golden Eagle V-tec conversion kit and ARP head studs. He also strengthend the connecting rods with ARP rod bolts to make sure the assembly will stay together. continued in user ride’s

Battle of the Imports began it’s 2008 tour at Orlando Speed World in Florida April 13th. the weather started out good with a few cloud’s, But that didn’t last long, Soon the rain came, yet another year the battle receives a unfriendly welcome from the sunshine state. Some of the fastest imports in the world, And the entire car show with every import known to man ran for cover. On a higher note let’s not forget the bikini contest with a handful of Ladies dressed for the rain did there best to keep the crowd entertained.
